Favorite part of working at a B&B:

Meeting all of the guests, because they come from all parts of the world and they bring all sorts of interesting and wonderful lifestyles with them. I enjoy interacting with them and hearing their stories about their travels, their hobbies, their families. I often live vicariously through them; if they have a favorite travel destination, I often look it up and see if it could be part of my next trip.

Favorite breakfast food:

Bananas Foster Pain Perdu, if it’s made right.

I’ve been working here for eleven years. I do housekeeping, but really, I do a bit of everything.

Favorite part of working at a B&B:

The people I meet on the job. Never a dull moment!

My favorite part is redoing the rooms. I just like housecleaning. Is that weird?

My favorite breakfast food is bacon, but I don’t usually eat it, because it’s fattening. But I like it!

I clean everything. And I cook: quiche, french toast, you name it. I learned how to make omelettes and grits and grillades. I wash, dry, fold. Make beds.

Favorite part of working at a B&B:

My favorite part is cooking and learning how to cook, because I never had that opportunity growing up.

Quiche, especially the kind with sausage. And coffee!

I’m the mysterious part-time employee that most people don’t meet, since I work mostly from home. I do paperwork. I handle billing, and look over Janice’s shoulder. Mostly secretarial duties, including some bookkeeping.

Favorite part of working at a B&B:

The wonderful breakfast aroma that’s always filtering through The Stockade.

Favorite breakfast food:

Eggs Benedict. Because my husband makes it with love. He’ll poach the eggs and cut the bacon. But usually I just eat cereal.

I’ve been to Belize, Jamaica, Tokyo, Ambergris Caye, Honduras, and Cozumel. So for a world traveler, it’s nice to interact with other world travelers.

Raisin Bran and fruit.

The people, without a doubt! The guests make it interesting because they come from all over the world to overnight at The Stockade. The staff works well to achieve one goal: a satisfied guest. And the innkeeper is motivated and charming!
