Stuffed Rolled Round Steak

This recipe has been around a long time. Cook it in an iron or heavy skillet if possible for the best flavor. You can substitute sirloin steak, if desired.

Ingredients:

1 boneless round steak
1 small onion, chopped
½ bell pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
¼ cup onion tops, chopped
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

Pound round steak. Rub seasoning (salt, pepper and garlic powder) onto both sides of steak. Sprinkle onion, bell pepper and onion tops onto steak. Roll steak carefully and secure with toothpicks or tie with cooking twine. Brown rolled steak on all sides. Add water and continue to smother steak, continuing to add water when needed, for approximately 1 hour or until tender and gravy has formed.
